Xrd is Absurd

Finally something truly exciting for the fighting game genre.  A fresh new Guilty Gear title has been desired out of Arc System Works for quite some time.  I mean...a LONG time.  Finally they have decided to honor us with a new title.  Not only is it stunning, but the character models are in 3D!?!  Not 3D like Tekken, but closer to 3D like Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Strom.  They are trying to maintain that anime look and feel that has brought the series as far as it has while still taking steps in a new and interesting direction.  We don't have much but this small teaser to go off of, but from what we can see, the game is very pleasing to the eyes.

Guilty Gear Xrd doesn't have a release date or anything else.  The trailer was for the Arc System Works Festival and was simply shown without much other detail.  All we get from it is a guaranteed Sol Badguy and Ky Kiske (with a pony tail) as well as a tease to Millia Rage and Eddie at the end. On Millia's hat there is a sign that reads 7-17 upside down followed by the number 13. I think given the time frame and the nature of the design, it would be foolish not to assume that there is going to be some sort of announcement regarding the game around that date. It just seems to fit. I mean it could just as well be 1337 for TITIE or some shit, so whatever.  Either way, the entire fighting game community has something to look forward too with Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- (sign is probably a placeholder), even if that is the dumbest name ever.
